How many hours do I have to study?
Students can study for as many hours as needed. Typically students study in 10, 20, and 40-hour blocks. However, should you just need an hour of help before a test, English Trainers is happy to provide that service.
- How are the lessons conducted?
English Trainers uses Zoom video conference software in conjunction with both digital and traditional forms of curriculum. Zoom is extremely easy to use and can be downloaded onto any laptop or desktop device. An internal or external camera and microphone are also required.
- How do I set up Zoom?
Students and parents will be sent a link to create a Zoom account by his or her teacher. The Zoom schedule will be organized by the teacher and the class invitation will be sent via email to the student, along with a timetable. IT support (via phone or Email) Zoom chat, and conferencing. - What happens if I miss a class?
We understand that unexpected things happen! That's why if we are aware of a cancellation 2 hours prior to the scheduled class, we'll happily reschedule the class at no extra cost.
- What about internet and power outages?
In the event of internet or power outages, whole lessons or part thereof that are affected will be rescheduled or time credited.
- What happens if I don't like my tutor?
If for any reason you are unhappy with your tutor, English Trainers will provide you with a new tutor, no questions asked!
- Will I improve?
Yes, you will! Our academic team will ensure that you improve by creating a course that addresses your needs. We also have the very best of tutors!
- Can I study with a friend?
Yes! There is a small surcharge per additional student.
